These Magnum Lynx boots come in a non side-zip and a side zip version depending on your personal preference. Like all Magnum boots on the market this boot has a lot of technology incorporated into it.
The Magnum Lynx 8.0 Side Zip boot has been designed to be one of the most perfect patrol boots out there. All of the hardware for this boot has been designed to be durable and rust proof. This was done to make sure the boots have a long life for the wearer.
Inside the Magnum Lynx boot, all the material is designed to control the moisture and temperature of your feet. This is done by using material that wicks moisture away. This is great as your feet will stay at the perfect temperature no matter how long the shift is.
They are one of the quickest if not by the speed you can run in them but how quick you can get them off and on. They have a quick on/off hook lace system as well as a side zip. These are one of the quickest and easiest boots in the Magnum Boot range to get on and off – a really useful feature after a very long shift.
Both versions of the boot have a very modern look to them. The boots are made from leather and nylon and have a very professional appearance.
Like all Hi Tech Magnum boots the Magnum Lynx 8.0 is packed full of features but will not break the bank. Magnum have designed the Lynx boot to be an all round modern patrol boot for everyone. The nylon of the boot is tough and is designed to be flexible yet durable as well. This helps you to move your feet more freely but at the same time you know it won’t split and let you down. The nylon panels on the side are designed to keep your feet cool and allow the air to get into the boot freely. Again a great temperature-control feature.
The Magnum Lynx 8.0 boot has a blucher lacing system which is designed to make the boots fit to your feet better. At the top you have quick on and off hook eyelets. The rubber out sole of the boot is designed for high traction and maximum grip so you will not have to worry about slipping over while running.
Magnum Germany and Benelux will soon be launching the Lynx 8.0 desert side zip. This boot is ideal for desert combat situations. This lightweight 8.0 boot feels like wearing a sneaker but provides the support and durability required for a uniform boot. The product is going to make a huge difference to the military boot market.
Magnum Lynx 8.0 Customer Reviews
One of our customers has recently sent in a review of these Magnum Lynx performance boots:
The magnum lynx 8.0 is a leather and nylon combination boot with a side zip. Magnum is a very popular choice for response officers, neighbourhood officers and PCSOs.
The first aspect I noticed about the boot when putting them on is the fit. It is pretty much like putting on a trainer. It is a snug yet moulding, comfortable fit. However the side zip will not be to everyone’s taste. In my opinion this can have a detrimental effect on comfort dependant on your leg and ankle fit. This is where other boots in my opinion that lace all the way up to the top offer that custom level of fit dependant on your preference.
They do keep your feet warm and snug and the sole is nice and chunky that offers a decent level of spring in your step and offering a solid protection around your feet on a day to day basis.
There is a reinforced toe that again firms up the protection for your feet and the whole boot, despite the solid protection, allows you to keep the ‘silent approach’ when attending incidents where subtlety is required.
Magnums do have a tendency to rip near the zip as this is a vulnerable area of the boot however this version appears to be holding up fairly well. It does offer good breath-ability which makes it an ideal boot for the spring and summer months but can be affected by water and bad weather but you should be ok unless you are wading through deep puddles on a regular basis.
In summary, the Magnum Lynx 8.0 looks smart, feels like you are wearing trainers and does the basic job that a response officer needs which is keeping your feet safe.
