This very rare piece of kit is a camouflage smock used by the Romanian military's scouts and snipers up until the end of the Cold War.
The cut is virtually identical to the Soviet sniper smocks of WW2.Intended to be worn as an oversuit, it features a huge hood that would go over a helmet, two slit pockets to access the clothing or load bearing equipment pockets underneath it, and a gauze face veil.
Vastly over sized, it will fit anyone, as well as do a great job of breaking up a person's silhouette. This variation is generally known as reverse leaf pattern, as it has the negative colors of the Soviet leaf 1941 leaf pattern, which the Romanian army also extensively used.
The suit is in excellent condition, possibly never worn, however it may show traces due to long storage.
It also comes with it's original carry bag.Few examples have found their way into collector's hands, as it was issued in limited numbers and the production has stopped for almost 30 years.
