This limited edition Sprint Run version of the Stretch 2XL Lightweight features Carpenter Technology's Micro-Melt PD#1, a cold-forged, air-hardened steel specially designed for superior wear resistance and toughness. Its advanced alloy composition is further enhanced by the CarTech Micro-Melt metal powder process, which ensures an ultra-fine and extremely homogeneous grain structure. This high-performance steel, which is functionally equivalent to CPM CRU-WEAR, is at the heart of this knife's fully flat-ground PlainEdge blade. To make this pocket knife even more distinctive, the blade is finished with a non-reflective titanium carbonitride (TiCN) coating, and the fiberglass reinforced nylon (FRN) handle is spray-painted a deep burgundy red. In keeping with this stunning black and burgundy theme, the four-way reversible pocket clip, locking bar, and handle screws also have a durable black coating.
