          Original medal, with the inscription “For Serving the Country”. This is known as the “Medal for Service to the Homeland, 2nd Class” and was awarded for military merit and/or long-term service. The medal features the “wolf-tooth banner”, a symbol of Hungarian military tradition dating back to the Middle Ages.

There are three classes of this medal:

• 3rd Class – bronze with green ribbon

• 2nd Class – silver with blue ribbon

• 1st Class – gold with orange ribbon.
